Glenwood Carpet Cleaners produce superior service
Glenwood Carpet Cleaners have become well known in the Hills District over the years. We clean all types of carpets whether it is commercial or domestic work.
What kind of carpets do Glenwood Carpet Cleaners clean?
There are really three main types of carpet construction in Sydney. We come across them all and clean thousands of square metres of each type of carpet every year. The carpets fall in three categories.
Cut pile, cut and loop pile and of course, loop pile carpets. Cut pile carpets are the most common carpet in Australia.
The typical types of fibre range from:
100% wool.
Wool and Nylon mix.
100% Nylon.
Wool and Acrylic mix.
100% Acrylic.
Wool carpets respond well to regular vacuuming and respond well to cleaning. The fibre density determines to cost of the carpet and will have a strong influence on the life of the carpet. As a general rule, wool carpets respond best to a general carpet clean but can stain permanently.
Nylon carpets are often treated with a stain blocking chemical during the manufacturing process. This makes it much easier to remove stains. Synthetic carpets do not age as well as wool and lacks the lustre of natural fibres.
Acrylic carpets respond to very little apart from the fact that it is easy to remove stains. These carpets are quite difficult to vacuum and often look dull. Cleaned acrylic often looks much the same as before the carpet clean. These are the more budget type carpets. It is fair to say that “you get what you pay for” when it comes to buying carpets.
The same principle applies to Glenwood Carpet Cleaners. We charge more but will always try harder to make you happy.
