Viscose Upholstery Cleaning requires precise workmanship
Upholstered fabrics are quite varied and also come in combinations of fabric from time to time. In some sense the more complicated fabric becomes. the harder it can be to maintain. Why is Viscose Upholstery Cleaning so complicated?
It really boils down to the characteristics of viscose as a material. It is a fabric that can shrink quite easily and spot cleaning can leave permanent water marks. Many unsuspecting upholstery cleaners have found this out to their detriment. Viscose will absorb water very readily and stay wet for many hours. This is especially problematic if you have a fabric blend. Cotton and viscose will react quite differently when cleaned. Cotton requires heat and a water based detergent for effective lounge cleaning whilst viscose should not be exposed to this kind of cleaning as it is too harsh on the material. To boot the two materials have very unique responses when it comes down to shrinkage.
We recommend the following Viscose Upholstery Cleaning process:
Chem-Dry has a unique upholstery cleaning process which we call dry-wet-dry. What does this process involve? The viscose fabric is first saturated with odourless mineral spirits (OMS). The fabric is then agitated and brushed plus cleaned with towels. Our technicians will then spray, brush and agitate the fabric with our Chem-Dry carbonated cleaning solution. The next step is to extract with one wet pass to rinse dirt and grime from the fabric. This is followed by dry extraction to ensure as much moisture is removed as possible. The OMS forms a moisture barrier and the fabric does not get very wet at all.
The room where the cleaning is done should be well ventilated during and after our viscose couch cleaning process. After only a few hours you will have a clean and dry sofa, cleaned in the Ultimate fashion.
